Tornado's Aftermath !
(A "Fairfield Bay Rentals ready to serve renters, owners and service providers." article)
At about 5:30 pm on Feb. 5th a destructive category 3 tornado moved through the Clinton, Pee Dee, and Shirley area. This storm up-rooted trees and destroyed or damaged a number of businesses and homes in the area. Although lives were lost, early warning by the media saved most of those in the path of the twister.
Fairfield Bay wasn't affected by this storm except for the loss of electricity for a few hours. Early on Feb. 6th clean up started and as in all disasters of this sort Arkansas's people came out in large numbers to help with the effort. Many groups and individuals provided food, lodging and other essentials for the displaced and those assisting them.
As the effort continues we must all remember that aide provided by agencies such as the Salvation Army, The Red Cross and others does cost money, so please find it in your heart to donate to these organizations so they'll be able to continue their noble work.
